    Children Starting School For The First Time – September 2019

    The Local Authority co-ordinates the application process for children starting school for the first time.

    The deadline for applications is 15th January 2019

    Applications will not be accepted at the school.

    Timeline for Admissions Appeals for Year R - September 2019

    Following national offer day of 16th April 2019, if you named Oakgrove Primary School as one of your preferences and were unsuccessful, you have a right to appeal against the decision to an independent appeal panel.  

    The appeals timetable* for Oakgrove Primary School for students starting school in Year R in September 2019 will be as follows:

     

    Tuesday, 21st May 2019 at 3pm

    Deadline to request an appeal form

    Thursday, 23rd May 2019 at 3pm

    Deadline to lodge an appeal**

    Wednesday 19th June

    and

    Thursday 20th June 2019

    Appeal hearings will be held during these days. Appellants will be advised as to precise day and time by the clerk.

    Should you wish to appeal against the decision not to offer your child a place at Oakgrove Primary School, please email the admissions office at admissions@oakgrove.school providing name of child, their date of birth and an email address where the appeal paperwork can be sent.  Requests for appeal forms must be made by 3pm on Tuesday, 21st May 2019. 

    Please note the School will be closed from the end of school on Friday 5th April to Tuesday 23rd April for the Easter holidays.

    *Please note it may not be possible to include within this timetable any appeals that are lodged after the deadline.

    **This is the deadline by which the completed appeal form must be received by the Clerk to the Independent Appeal Panel.
