Science Experiments on Solids
Year Five carried out scientific experiments about which solids would dissolve. They made predictions and then carried out the experiment, writing up conclusions based on these findings.
Year 5 were experimenting to see how much water evaporated when different amounts were heated up to 100 degrees Celsius. They were really engaged with the experiment and showed excellent scientific skills and questioning.
A Great Start To Year 5
The children have settled in really well in Year 5. They have been learning all about the Saxons, and have loved writing their own ending to the legend of King Arthur.
In Science we have been studying solids, liquids and gases (shown in the photos), where the children had to manipulate different items to categorise them and make a non-newtonian fluid.
