Oakgrove Celebrates another Impressive Year of GCSE Results

Oakgrove School celebrated another successful year of GCSE results with 80% of students gaining five A* – C GCSE passes based on first entry and 100% of students gained five or more A*-G passes.

This year 20% of all grades were at A*-A and 80% at A*-C. A record number of A* grades were achieved by Oakgrove students.

The school has performed strongly on the new performance measures and we are projecting a high Attainment 8 score and a well above average Progress 8 score.

Top performers include Lauryn Mason with 10 A* passes and 1 grade A, Nanette Agyemang with 8 A*s, 3 As and a Distinction * and Rebecca Taylor with 7 A*s, 2 As , 1 B and a Distinction *. One student, Georgina Puchal-Carrillo gained 13 passes, two gained 12 passes and a further 21 students gained 11 passes. 63% of the year group gained 8 or more GCSE A*-C passes and 83% of the year gained 5 or more A*-C passes.

Headteacher, Ian Tett, said the results were an excellent achievement: “Yet again our students have achieved some impressive results. It is great to see so many students having performed so well across such a wide range of subjects.”
