A Level & BTEC Results 2023

17 August 2023

Another year of outstanding A Level and BTEC results was celebrated today by Oakgrove School. The determination of students to achieve their academic and personal ambitions has resulted in strong results in Maths, Further Maths, Geography and Sociology.

Amongst many outstanding achievements, a record four students will start their medicine degrees in September, one student will be studying Physics with Theoretical Astrophysics at the University of Nottingham and another three will take mathematics at the Russell Group Universities, Nottingham, Warwick and Bath. Apprenticeships at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Santander and the Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service are just some of the exciting destinations for others.

Congratulating Oakgrove’s Sixth Form students, Headteacher Ian Tett said:

I am extremely proud of Oakgrove’s students and staff, who have once again proved that hard work and aspiration leads to success. This cohort in particular deserves praise, they have shown immense tenacity with the disruption to their studies and being unable to experience sitting GCSE examinations, due to Covid-19 restrictions.

We look forward to assisting our students as they progress onto their next destinations and are so grateful to have had the support of their parents and carers.

This summer’s examination results affirm the achievements of Oakgrove’s post 16 provision, which is set for a further boost with a million pound capital expansion, following a successful application to the Department for Education.
