The session is a drop in session, please turn up between 4pm and 6pm. No need to book a place.
Oakgrove Nursery currently offers provision for children aged 3 and 4. The main in-take for Nursery is the September following your child’s third birthday.

Applications are open and the deadline for submitting an application for starting in September 2023 is 12 Noon on Friday, 17th March 2023.
Applicants will be advised by email/ post by Friday, 31st March 2023 if their application has been successful. Applications are not offered on a first come first served basis. Further details are provided on the application form.
Oakgrove Nursery September 2023 - Application Form
To complete on a phone/ tablet/ computer the applicant needs to save the form on to their device, complete the form and then save the completed form again. Then email the form with the supporting documentation to admissions@oakgrove.school.
Offers are subject to availability of places. The main intake for Nursery is the September following your child's third birthday.
It should be noted that a place in the nursery class does not automatically guarantee admission to the Primary school. Parents should refer to the Primary School admissions policy for further advice on applying for a place in Reception.

The Nursery is full for this current session of September 2022 to July 2023. Any application submitted will be with a view to being placed on the waiting list.

Timeline for Admission Appeals for Year R – September 2023
Following national offer day of Monday, 17th April 2023 if you named Oakgrove Primary and Nursery School as one of your preferences and were unsuccessful, you have a right to appeal against the decision to an independent appeal panel.
The appeals timetable* for Oakgrove Primary and Nursery School for students starting in Year R in September 2023 is shown below. Stage 1 hearing and Stage 2 individual hearings will be held virtually, with meeting invites issued by the Clerk to the Independent Appeal Panel nearer the time.

In year admissions refer to applications made at any other time after the initial September entry into Reception.
Parent/ Carers should be aware that Oakgrove School is an oversubscribed school with more applicants than places available and each year many parent/ Carers are unsuccessful in their application for a place. Please note that when a place does become available it is allocated strictly in accordance with the school’s admissions criteria.

Applications for an in year admission should be made on the Oakgrove Primary School application form and can be accepted from Tuesday, 19th April 2022 onwards for applying for a place in September 2022

Oakgrove Primary School In Year Application Form (2022-23)
Please note that initially in response to the application you will receive a turn down letter as the current year groups are full. By requesting to go on the waiting list this builds the waiting list for the academic year 2022-23. Should there be any vacancies offers are made from the top of the waiting list.
The waiting list will be operated in accordance with the admissions criteria and length of time on the list is not a factor in offering a place. The waiting list will be held for the remainder of the academic year (closing July 2023). A child's position on the waiting list can therefore change over time if new applicants are added to the list who have a higher priority for admissions; or children currently higher on the list withdraw their application.
Being on the waiting list does not guarantee a place at the school.

Timeline for Admissions Appeals for Year 7 - September 2023
Following national offer day on Wednesday 1st March 2023, if you named Oakgrove School as one of your preferences and were unsuccessful, you will be sent a letter from the school providing further details as to why it wasn’t possible to allocate a place.
All unsuccessful applicants have a right to appeal against the decision not to offer a place to an independent appeal panel.

In-Year Admissions
In-year admissions refers to applications made at any time after the normal age of transfer at the end of primary school.
Parent/Carers should be aware that Oakgrove School is a vastly oversubscribed school with more applicants than places available and each year many parent/carers are unsuccessful in their application for a place. Please note that when a place does become available it is allocated strictly in accordance with the school’s admissions criteria.
Oakgrove School maintains a waiting list throughout the academic year. The waiting list will be ranked in accordance with the over-subscription criteria and length of time on the list will not be a factor in offering a place. This means that children will move up and down the list as other children are or removed. Being on the waiting list does not guarantee a place at the school. Waiting lists close at the end of the academic year.

2023 Admission Arrangements for Oakgrove School
The consultation on the proposed Sixth Form admission arrangements for Oakgrove School for September 2023 closed on 25th January 2022.
